Attention all gardeners (and wannabe gardeners): FoodShare is currently offering organic gardening workshops.
Learn everything you need to know from planning out your garden, to sprouting seeds, transplanting, container gardening, composting and more. These workshops are great if you are new to gardening or want to learn more about how to take care of a garden using organic methods.
Workshops include:
- Beginner Garden Planning
- Intermediate Garden Planning
- Seed Starting Workshop
- Container Gardening
- Direct Seeding & Transplanting
- Organic Pest Control
- Backyard Composting
For the foodies out there, they also offer a number of related food making workshops:
- Mead Making
- Making Chutneys
- Making Jams
Fees are $60 per workshop plus $10 materials fee, $40 for students and seniors, Bursaries are also available. The more workshops you take the less each workshop costs.
