I just want to give a quick shout out about an upcoming event that is happening for people who love chocolate. ChocoSol Traders is having a Jaguar Chocolate Workshop on Thursday, March 12 from 6-9pm.
I had the pleasure of taking a hands-on workshop at ChocoSol Traders last year and was blown away by how much I learned about what is involved in the chocolate making process. It isn’t everyday that you get to see all the different steps that are involved in making chocolate from bean-to-bar (plus you get to meet the passionate people who make it happen). It gave me a deeper understanding as to why there is such a huge range in flavour, smoothness and price when it comes to chocolate.
In addition to being an independent, artisanal chocolate maker, ChocoSol Traders also has a strong learning community and social enterprise focus. They keep the size of their workshops small, which gives you plenty of time to sample different types of chocolate, ask questions and even help out if you want. The chocolate they produce is made using organic cacao beans and is free of dairy, gluten, soy and nuts.
If you like chocolate, I highly recommend that you attend one of their workshops.
