About the Opportunity: Join the Vascular Access Team at Tacoma, WA. We're seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with strong vascular access expertise for a dedicated IV Therapy Department position. This is a 13-week contract ideal for experienced nurses comfortable with PICC and midline placements, port access, and ultrasound-guided IV insertions Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Vascular Access Location: Tacoma, WA Type: 13-Week Contract Start Date: 04/28/2025 Shift: Evenings - 3x12s (1:00 PM - 1:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Unit: Vascular Access (IV Therapy Department) Shift: 3x12s | 1:00 PM - 1:30 AM | Every Other Weekend (EOW) Charting System: Epic (EpicCare Inpatient - EMR) • Qualifications License: Washington RN license (willing to wait) Experience: Minimum 2 years as an RN, with strong vascular access background Certifications: BLS (Required), VABC preferred Required Skills & Responsibilities: Proficient in ultrasound-guided peripheral IVs PICC line and midline placement experience required Port access and central line dressing changes Ability to maintain sterile field Provide vascular access care, IV troubleshooting, and assessments No drip titration or call/standby requirements No floating - dedicated IV therapy unit Other Notes: Team Structure: 2 RNs scheduled per day shift Orientation: Focused on IV therapy workflows and vascular protocols Work Environment: Collaborative, patient-centered tertiary hospital Holiday Requirements: As needed based on staffing Job Types: Full-time, Travel nursing, Contract Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 36 per week • Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Medical Specialty: Emergency Medicine Physical Setting: Acute care Hospital Inpatient Level II trauma center Outpatient Experience: Vascular access: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: RN License (Preferred) BLS Certification (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Tacoma, WA 98405 (Required) Work Location: In person Universal Healthcare Resources
