Training and Development Manager - Kids Dental Brands

Job summary:

The Training and Development Program Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training initiatives that improve employee skills, enhance productivity, and foster career development within Kids Dental Brands. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities to create programs aligned with business goals, ensuring the workforce is well-equipped to meet current and future challenges.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Program Design and Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training and development programs tailored to meet organizational needs and employee career progression.
  • Needs Assessment: Collaborate with department leaders to identify training needs and skill gaps through surveys, interviews, and performance metrics.
  • Curriculum Creation: Design engaging training materials and methods, e-learning modules, and hands-on training activities.
  • Training Delivery: Oversee and create learning paths and developmental programs using a Learning Management System and competencies to accommodate both virtual and in person trainings.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the training budget, ensuring resources are utilized effectively to maximize the company’s return on investment.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning. Oversee all hiring, disciplinary, training, and performance expectations of the development team.
  • Performance Evaluation: Monitor and assess the impact of training programs through feedback, performance assessments, and ROI analysis; use findings to refine and enhance future programs.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure training programs comply with industry standards and align with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with external training providers, consultants, and professional organizations to bring best practices and innovative solutions to the company.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other training tools to deliver, track, and evaluate training initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in education or a related field required.
  • Certification: Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in training and development, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Prior experience in the development of a training program for ESL employees preferred.
  • Advanced Experience: Microsoft Office Suite, LMS (i.e., 360Learning, Udemy, Brainier, Canvas, etc.), Video editing (i.e., Canva), proficiency with Adobe Suite.
  • Language Ability: Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact and disseminate information to all levels throughout the organization.
  • Travel: Offices in multiple states and some travel as needed. <25%.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

The work environment may include work within an office environment, dental practice, or remote work. Overall, a Hybrid work model with flexibility to travel as required for training events and conferences. Position may require long periods of sitting and standing. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds and be able to twist, turn, bend and stoop.
