Technical Sales & Account Manager – Chemicals & Packaging

We are seeking an experienced professional passionate about driving sales growth, creating new business opportunities, and building strong client relationships. This role focuses on industrial chemicals and packaging markets within the Midwest region and includes managing existing multi-million-dollar accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
Achieve annual sales and profit goals
Manage existing accounts and develop new customer relationships
Build and maintain partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers
Monitor market trends, competition, material costs, and regulations
Develop and promote product lines, including:

Chemicals: Paints & coatings, plastics, additives, adhesives & sealants, composites, lubricants, personal care chemicals, water treatment
Packaging: Industrial containers (steel & plastic drums, IBCs), smaller containers (bottles, pails, cans), closures, corrugated items, shipping materials

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years in chemical distribution, chemical engineering, industrial packaging, raw materials, or related field
OR
10+ years in sales with strong chemistry/industry knowledge
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Packaging (or related) + 3 years experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in chemical or packaging distribution and sales
Proven track record of sales success
Strong technical knowledge of chemistry or engineering
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
