Overview Substance Abuse Counselor/Counselor Trainee at MedMark Treatment Centers. Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor needed to assist patients through medically assisted programs, conduct group and individual sessions, and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists for best treatment outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct initial individual assessments and evaluation interviews for service eligibility Involve families and significant others in the recovery process when possible Facilitate, establish and review each patient\'s initial treatment plan Respond to patient grievances and complaints as needed Develop aftercare and discharge plans Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor Qualifications Certification or license required: ADT, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, LCPC, LCSW, LGADC or LCADC from the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen Salary and Benefits Salary range: $44,000 – $80,000 annually (non-exempt, overtime eligible with prior approval) BayMark offers benefits including 401K match, medical/dental/vision, short & long term disability, basic life insurance, paid time off, bereavement leave, flexible sick time, and employee referral program What to Expect MedMark Treatment Centers, a BayMark Health Services company, is a progressive substance abuse treatment program focused on high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.
