iQuasar is seeking to fill the Senior Systems Administrator position for one of its customers. The Senior System Administrator will work closely with administrators to provide help desk support, work with the hosting organization, execute software installs, and test/troubleshoot hardware and software updates.

Responsibilities: - Perform technical assessments/acceptability of software and hardware
- Apply system enhancements to production after proper documentation and testing
- Process, monitor, control, and execute batch jobs for interfaces
- Represent the customer on various technical review and inspection teams
- Obtain, compile, and summarize information for use by others
- Ownership of the problems and requests assigned, focus on managing/resolving issues
- Respond to database-related alerts and escalations
- Engage with database engineering to develop strategic solutions for recurring problems
- Ensure the database is backed up in a way that meets the business's Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
- Maintain communication with technology customers to keep them updated with the status of their requests
- Perform help desk support
- Coordinate and interact with the Network Operations Center (NOC) ensuring server environments are current and backed up
- Develop and maintain procedures for system operations, product installations, and explanations of the system logic
- Support software and hardware updates for other legacy systems
Requirements: - Active TS/SCI security clearance
- 4+ years working Tier 1/2 computer help desk.
- Possess knowledge of automated trouble ticket systems
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, replication issues, connectivity issues, and security issues
- Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts. Tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests
- Understanding of DoD IA security policies, controls, and documentation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Experience with SAP Programs preferred
Desired Certifications: - Security + Certification (Requirement-must be obtained within 6 months of start date)
- Microsoft Server Certifications
