We are looking for a highly strategic and collaborative Product Manager to lead the business and go-to-market strategy for our new platform product. In this role, you will partner closely with the Platform Strategy team and engage across a wide range of stakeholders including business, partner relations, legal, engineering, and design to shape our market approach and guide product growth over time.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business, product, and platform development, and can translate market opportunities into actionable product direction.
Business Strategy & Market Planning
Define the target market(s) for the new product in close collaboration with the Platform Strategy, Business, and Partner teams
Lead analysis of competitive landscape, partner needs, platform capabilities, and regional considerations to shape market entry plans
Develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy including value proposition, positioning, and launch requirements
Align cross-functional teams around launch timelines, key milestones, and success metrics
Roadmap & Expansion Planning
Define the long-term roadmap for market and platform expansion, informed by business opportunity, technical feasibility, and partner requirements
Work closely with other Product Managers to translate strategic direction into concrete product requirements (features, tools, SDK support, etc.) for new regions or audiences
Ensure ongoing coordination with regional teams, legal, and compliance to support international growth
Cross-functional Leadership
Act as the connective tissue between Strategy, Product, and Business teams
Facilitate alignment and drive decision-making across diverse internal stakeholders
Represent business and market context in product roadmap and development planning
Support executive reporting and communications on business strategy and product trajectory
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in product management, business strategy, or platform planning
Proven track record of defining go-to-market or platform growth strategies
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working across diverse teams globally
Analytical and structured problem-solver with the ability to synthesize business, market, and technical factors into clear direction
Excellent communication, documentation skills, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Self-motivated, organized and comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have:
Experience in launching global consumer platforms or game-related hardware/software products
Background in working with strategic or business development functions
Familiarity with platform ecosystems, developer relations, or hardware/software integration
Experience working with Japan-based teams and/or global teams who may not share the same culture as you do.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each roles base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role is eligible for SIEs top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.
