Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Immigration Attorney to join a fast-growing law firm specializing in immigration law. This role involves managing a variety of immigration cases, both for detained and non-detained individuals, providing legal representation in court, and guiding clients through complex immigration processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about client advocacy, experienced in immigration law, and capable of handling a demanding caseload. Duties: Provide strategic legal counsel and explain immigration concepts to clients. Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals. Manage a diverse caseload, including removal defense and family-based immigration cases. Conduct client intakes, particularly with detained individuals at detention centers. Prepare and review various immigration applications and legal briefs. Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates. Lead client consultations to develop case strategies. Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS interviews. Requirements: 5 to 8 years of experience practicing immigration law. Proven ability to manage a caseload independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required. Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian applications, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications. Familiarity with case management software preferred. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Admission to the bar in the state of California. Skills: Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
