Position Description The Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support Senior Associate will serve as a member of the RSM Financial Investigations and Dispute Advisory Services consulting team and will assist in performing forensic accounting and business valuations for litigation support engagements. The Senior Associate will assist in performing analytical and investigative services to attorneys, legal counsel, audit committees, government agencies, regulators, corporate boards, insurance companies, and management of companies. Our Financial Investigations and Dispute Advisory Services practice has the skills and experience to unravel the puzzles, collect and document the evidence, and perform the detailed analysis, allowing our clients to move forward with the information they need.
Specific Responsibilities Include: - Reviewing and analyzing financial information, accounting records, and tax returns in support of litigation matters
- Assisting with litigation discovery on document requests and preparation of interrogatories; analyzing documents and assisting with preparing questions for witnesses
- Performing valuation methods and forensic accounting analysis on litigation support engagements.
- Performing industry and market research
- Preparing economic damage calculations
- Compiling organized working papers
- Preparing complex spreadsheets
- Assisting with preparation of expert reports and trial exhibits
- Analyzing and reconstructing fraudulent transactions, complex transactions, funds tracing, financial statements, etc.
- Cultivating and maintaining positive, productive, and professional relationships with colleagues and clients
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Working towards, or completion of, CPA, ABV, CFF, CVA and/or AM certifications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to gather facts, organize data, analyze financial statements and other financial data, and identify relevant issues
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to travel to clients and other firm offices
- Ability to work long hours and have flexibility to meet client deadlines
- Ability to work well within a team oriented environment
- Flexibility to travel to clients and other RSM offices
Preferred Qualifications: - CPA, ABV, CFF, CVA and/or AM certifications
- Two plus years of experience with a national accounting/consulting firm providing litigation, investigation, and forensic accounting services

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $67,500 - $127,600
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
