Job Description

Title:  Scientist (Immunology)
Location:  Tarrytown, NY
Schedule:  M-F Full Time
Type:  Contract

Responsibilities:

• Irradiating and injecting mice pups intra-hepatically 
• Collecting blood from adult mice via retro-orbital or submandibular veins
• Performing necropsy and harvest spleen, bone marrow and other tissues based on project needs
• Injecting mice with proteins (antibodies, etc.) or implant cells
• Processing blood and harvested tissue for multi-parameter flow cytometry weekly 
• Processing harvested tissue for immunohistochemistry (frozen and/or paraffin)
• Maintaining cell culture
• Performing ELISA, ELISpot, MSD and other immunoassays

Requirements:

• BS/MS and with 6+ years of experience in Immunology, Biology, or a relevant field. 
• Must have strong experience with animal handling and multi-parameter flow cytometry are required. 
• Strong background in immunology including multi-parameter flow cytometry and other immuno-assays (ELISA, ELISpot, MSD, cytotoxicity, proliferation, etc.) strongly preferred. 
• Cell culture and immunohistochemistry experience is a plus.
• Have excellent communication/presentation skills
• Are able to work efficiently and collaborate with different groups
• Are able to design experiments, problem-solve, and troubleshoot independently
