Job Description

Title - Sales Trainer

Hours: 8-5 pm

Location: Addison, IL

Salary: up to $125K

Travel: up to 50%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of sales experience, preferably within industrial distribution or manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience in training, facilitation, and performance coaching.
  • Expertise in designing and developing customized training content and support materials.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare status reports and deliver project presentations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Proficient in virtual classroom technologies, eLearning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Adult Learning Principles.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage organizational change while operationalizing programs and processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Sales and coaching certifications are highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Requirements:

  • Design and develop sales training content tailored to internal needs, utilizing proven adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Facilitate both virtual and in-person training sessions for all sales associates, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess training needs for both sales associates and leaders, and work closely with stakeholders to enhance and evolve sales training initiatives.
  • Evaluate training programs, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and share results with stakeholders, while identifying areas for ongoing improvement in content and delivery.
  • Oversee the management of internally developed curriculum, training schedules, and customized training plans.
  • Coach Sales Managers on best practices for leading high-performing sales organizations.
  • Track and monitor the development of Account Managers, ensuring that Best Practices are consistently applied during sales activities.
