Job Description

Safety & Security Manager ASM Global, the world's leading provider of innovative venue services and live experiences, is actively recruiting for: Safety & Security Manager: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety and security protocols, event security, and parking procedures to ensure the well-being and protection of our employees, visitors, and assets. Essential Responsibilities: Operations: Responsible for the supervision of all in-house contracted security personnel including training new hires. Supervises event security activities, in such a manner as to ensure the highest possible level of security. Promotes customer service/positive public relations approach to the execution of all his/her duties and within the security staff. Develop, maintain and implement safety and security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in cooperation with the Director of Operations. Serves as the liaison with all outside public safety regulatory agencies and officials or agents. Handles or directs, personally, high priority, sensitive or emergency operation tasks, as appropriate. Conduct regular safety and security audits to identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities and create action plans to address them. Maintains the organizations physical safety and security systems, including surveillance systems, automated security systems and fire alarm/sprinkler systems. Collaborate with department managers to develop and deliver safety and security training programs for employees, including emergency response procedures. Maintain and update safety and security manuals, documents, and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Maintain safety and security training documentation in Altum according to the ASM review schedule. Monitor security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, and alarms, and promptly respond to any identified issues or alarms. Investigate and report on safety and security incidents, including accidents, theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure all staff are working safely, notifying Directors of any accidents/incidents. Investigates and fills out forms and reports if applicable. Works with parking staff/security staff on policy and procedures. Addresses all customer service issues that arise before, during and after an event. Maintains employee badge system for new hires, replacements and lost access cards. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in safety and security to continuously improve protocols and procedures. Event Services: Coordinate with PSCC Event Managers to ensure an effective safety plan for events from load in through load out. Oversee event security by coordinating expectations, protocols and logistical placement. Attends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operations. Maintains the proper image and generates positive public relations with patrons and staff. Works extended/irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Other: Promotes and fulfills ASM Global goals and brand promise. Participates in safety programs to achieve safety goals. Assists the department and organization with various projects and special assignments as needed. Performs other assigned duties as required. Education: High School diploma or BA degree in hospitality, business or related field from college or university or equivalent experience on a year for year basis for the degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in safety and security. Experience in conducting safety and security audits, risk assessments and investigations. Experience with facility management and event planning. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Ability to respond to emergency situations is required. Handles complex issues Skills and Abilities: Ability to work both in a team and independently. Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to effectively communicate safety and security information to diverse audiences. Strong knowledge of safety and security regulations, standards and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change within the organization. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with tenants, employee, business partners and the public. Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic. Technology: Working knowledge of MS office programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Up to date with computer technology and willing to learn new programs. Experience with an automated event booking system is preferred.
