Salary Range: $29.50 - $44.50

Pay Info: $10,000 Sign on Bonus

Department Details

The General Surgery department includes the subspecialties of general surgery, surgical oncology, breast surgery, and colorectal surgery. In this role, you will support a provider's practice, provide direct patient care and education, respond to patient inquiries, assist with minor procedures, and coordinate care.

Job Summary

As an RN Triage Nurse, you will:

• Answer patient inquiries via phone, assessing the severity of symptoms and medical needs.
• Guide patients to the appropriate level of care and schedule appointments with healthcare providers.
• Document patient information and health conditions accurately in health record systems.
• Maintain and develop triage protocols, ensuring timely updates of patient healthcare information.
• Educate patients based on their inquiries and guide them through the healthcare process.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Must hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Complete all requirements to obtain licenses needed for the role within the first 30 days of employment.
• Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
