**Job Title: Remote Indirect Loan Underwriter**

**Job Summary:**
As a Remote Indirect Loan Underwriter, you will evaluate and approve loan applications submitted by auto dealerships and other indirect lending partners. You will ensure that all loans comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and underwriting guidelines while providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise in risk assessment and decision-making will play a crucial role in fostering successful partnerships and driving business growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Review and analyze loan applications and credit files to determine the creditworthiness of applicants.
- Assess the risk associated with approving loans, considering factors such as credit history, income verification, and loan-to-value ratios.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Communicate loan decisions clearly and effectively to dealerships, explaining the rationale behind approvals or denials.
- Collaborate with sales and lending teams to resolve any issues related to loan applications or approval processes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions and processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in indirect lending and underwriting.
- Assist in developing and refining underwriting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and maintain risk management standards.

**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in loan underwriting, with a focus on indirect auto lending highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of underwriting guidelines, credit analysis, and lending practices.
- Proficient in using underwriting software, loan processing systems, and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to lending and consumer protection.
