General Description: Produce high quality Concrete products with a focus on safety and efficiency.
**FIRST SHIFT**
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with co-workers to strip, set-up and pour the bed in a timely
- Work with the Quality Control Department to ensure optimal
- Take direction from their Team Leader and
- Flexible to perform work in any area including Production, Yard, Patching and other areas as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment and have good housekeeping skills while
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing objectives and improves the efficiencies of the
- Have knowledge of quality programs and be able to perform quality
- Come to work with a good attitude and work the hours needed to fulfill the job
- Knowledgeable of day-to-day tasks that are performed and are aware of what the next step is without being
- Maintain a professional relationship with employees in the plant and
- Support company policies and have a positive attitude while
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
- Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- General math skills and ability to read tape measure.
- Ability to work with others to get the project completed efficiently and work independently when needed.
- Knowledge of products the company uses, and which products would work best.
- Understand and accept changes that are implemented to become Best in Class.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally.
- Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently.
- Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Moderate to high risk of exposure to unusual elements.
- Moderate to high risk of safety precautions.
- Moderate to high exposure to production environment.
- Wet, hot, humid, and wintry conditions (weather related) (plant specific)
- Ability to work outside year-round (plant specific)
