Summary:

Assemble mechanical parts, sub-assemblies or full assemblies using a variety of small hand held tools, screwdrivers, torque wrenches and other jigs and fixtures in accordance with written instructions, drawing and/or as per specifications as part of a production line in a manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret and follow, engineering drawings, specifications.
• Understand and able to follow written work instructions or procedures.
• Accurately assemble products such as displays, keyboards, type IV panels, light guides, cables, sub-assemblies in accordance with the above.
• Prepare and work with various adhesives and epoxies as part of assembly process.
• Utilize hand held tools such as a magnifying tools, microscope to work with small parts and components.
• Auto-inspect work to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation (non-conformance reports) when defects are identified as per internal quality processes.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years mechanical assembly experience in aerospace or similar industry.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
• Excellent handy-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Physical Requirements:

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
• Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
