About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician - Internal Medicine/Pediatrician to join our team at DOC - Central Cell Block, 21. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, from infants to adults. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, and provide ongoing care and support to patients and their families.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
  • Valid medical license in the state of practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a correctional healthcare setting
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages commonly spoken by patients in the area
  • Experience working with underserved populations
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments of patients
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribing medications and other treatments as needed
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records

Skills:

As a Physician - Internal Medicine/Pediatrician, you will use your extensive medical knowledge and clinical skills to provide high-quality care to patients of all ages. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as with other healthcare professionals. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, and to use your leadership and management skills to help guide and support other members of the healthcare team. In addition, you will need to be committed to ongoing professional development, and to staying up-to-date with the latest advances in medical research and technology.
