Join Our Team as a Retail Pharmacy Technician!

Your Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Assist pharmacists in delivering top-notch pharmaceutical care to all patients.
• Perform technical tasks such as filling, compounding, reconstitution, and labeling.
• Accurately enter patient information into our pharmacy computer system, including addresses, phone numbers, allergies, and dates of birth.
• Ensure correct medication information is entered, including medications, strengths, routes, refills, and physician names.
• Conduct necessary calculations for prescription input and dispensing.
• Identify patients per protocol before dispensing medications.
• Facilitate patient counseling by a pharmacist prior to completing transactions.
• Prioritize work to fill prescriptions efficiently.
• Initial Rx labels on all prescriptions.
• Maintain drug and supply inventory by following department procedures.
• Regularly remove expired medications, rotate stock, and keep assigned areas clean and organized.
• Respond to phone inquiries and walk-up service requests, resolving issues or redirecting as needed.
• Utilize department equipment effectively, including point of sale equipment and pill counters.
• Participate in quality assurance monitoring, data collection, and analysis.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from PTCB or NHA.
• Licensing: Licensed Pharmacy Technician within 60 days of application in Illinois.
• Education: Relevant educational background.
• Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus!

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.33 - $28.07 per hour . This range reflects our commitment to fair compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our team members.
