Job Description

• Scrape, sand, sand blast, mask and paint various types of heavy equipment and components.
• Make minor body repairs in preparation for painting using filler putty or fiberglass.
• Perform minor assembly of painted components.
• Responsible for keeping paint equipment, materials and paint booth area clean.
• Read and follow written shop work orders.
• Once properly trained, operate material handling equipment to move units in and out of paint area.
• Rig and handle large equipment utilizing cables, slings and shackles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Capable of masking equipment, making body repairs, and knowledge and use of related materials (for example a grinder and sander)
• Complete hazardous waste training, annually.
• Requires working with hazardous materials and waste.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• Climb up and down equipment as needed.
• Promote safe work practices by using/wearing necessary proper personal protective equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools; must possess own hand tools.
• Ability to work overtime during the week or weekends, as necessary.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the essential job functions of the position.
