AMA Medical Group in Dunedin, FL is looking to hire a part-time or full-time Staff Nurse – Outpatient Clinic to take vital signs, evaluate patient needs in person and on the phone, administer prescribed medications, and assist the physician with examinations and treatments. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STAFF NURSE - OUTPATIENT CLINIC
As a staff nurse at our outpatient clinic, you support the physician while putting patients at ease. You evaluate symptoms, either in person or on the phone, and perform triage according to your findings. You take vitals, enter data, and perform other nursing duties, all while delivering compassionate and efficient care.
It is the combination of your excellent communication, people, and technical skills that helps you excel. You recognize each person as an individual and treat them with dignity. Your warm, caring demeanor is comforting to patients and helps them feel at home. You feel great about bringing a sense of hope and healing to our patients while enjoying the camaraderie of being part of a great team ! You utilize managed care processes for cost-effective and efficient use of lab, radiology, and extended service providers, including specialists, hospitals, skilled nursing providers, and other ancillary services. You also complete timely and comprehensive medical documentation in EMR systems to abstract for hierarchical condition category (HCC) coding and company standards.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A STAFF NURSE - OUTPATIENT CLINIC
Knowledge of eClinicalWorks would be a plus. The ability to speak Spanish and knowledge about medical equipment and maintenance would also be highly desirable. Do you have excellent customer service skills? Can you communicate clearly with patients and all levels of personnel? Are you professional and courteous in your demeanor? Do you have the ability to accomplish multiple tasks while working in a high-paced environment? Are you organized and efficient? If yes, you might just be perfect for this LPN nursing position!
WORK SCHEDULE FOR
This LPN nursing position enjoys a rewarding work-life-balanced schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm or 7:30 am - 4:30 pm . We offer part-time hours as well.
