Job Description

Join our dedicated team at the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) office in north Houston, TX, where we’re committed to promoting the health and well-being of our community. We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Nutritionist to provide high-quality nutritional counseling and support to WIC participants, including pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and young children.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nutrition assessments and provide individualized counseling to WIC participants
• Develop nutrition care plans and follow up with clients as needed
• Promote breastfeeding and provide support to nursing mothers
• Educate clients on healthy eating, infant and child feeding practices, and food safety
• Collaborate with WIC staff to deliver quality services and maintain program compliance
• Document client interactions accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the state of Texas or eligible for licensure
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for public health and serving diverse populations

Benefits and Perks:

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
