  • Provide full-spectrum telephone service program management and customer support for non-secure voice, data, and telecom services as a subject matter expert.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating service requests and account management with regional and enterprise-level telephone service providers.
  • Submit, monitor, and manage requests for telecommunication services, non-secure telephony equipment, and related circuit provisioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex or ambiguous technical issues, often requiring engagement with external agencies and service providers.
  • Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders, including the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the Joint Service Provider (JSP), to address and resolve enterprise-level telecom concerns.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members within the voice/data/telecom group, offering technical guidance and support for professional development.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications or IT support; additional years of experience or training may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliant).
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP technologies and systems.
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow and/or Remedy.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, including circuit provisioning and MAC processes.
  • Experience working within Department of Defense (DoD) or similar federal environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently and collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Experience providing technical training or support to end-users.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications circuit types and wiring standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a military command or operations center, particularly an Air Force Communications Focal Point (CFP).
  • Knowledge of The Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR
  • Experience working in the National Capital Region (The Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable discussing technical information with users and other support personnel.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as an integral member of a team.
