Silver Swan is assisting an established client in Rochester, New York, to find a professional and experienced Private Nanny. The role involves providing attentive care and fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for a child younger than a teenager. This is a live-out position requiring flexibility, discretion, and a proactive approach to childcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, age-appropriate care to the child, including educational support and developmental activities.
• Plan and implement engaging and stimulating activities, both indoors and outdoors.
• Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the child, ensuring dietary preferences and restrictions are met.
• Manage the child’s daily schedule, including school drop-offs, pickups, extracurricular activities, and appointments.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the child, including their bedroom, play areas, and belongings.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive relationship with the child.
• Provide guidance on manners, responsibility, and independence.
• Coordinate with parents to ensure seamless communication about the child’s needs and schedule.
• Travel with the family on occasion, ensuring continuity of care during trips.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional nanny experience with children in the specified age range.
• Background in childcare, education, or child development is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and execute daily schedules.
• Ability to maintain discretion and respect the family’s privacy at all times.
• Legal right to live and work in the US (visa sponsorship is not available).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and travel when required.
