Job Description

Our client, a national broadcast company, is looking for a Motion Designer for On-Air, responsible for the design and creation of high quality, on-brand, motion graphics elements for snipes, web pointers, enhanced billboards, vignettes and other Ad Sales added-value materials. The Designer is also occasionally responsible for designing and creating program graphic packages for series, stunts and specials.

• Location: DC
• Hybrid: Mon-Thurs onsite, Friday Remote
• Hours: 10am-6pm
• Duration: 3months

Responsibilities:

• Design and create program packaging graphics for series, stunts and specials.
• On-brand, cohesive quality program graphics packages that balances the core idea of the program with the branding of the channel.
• Design and create motion graphics for on-air promotions, ad sales vignettes, enhanced billboards, snipes, Webpointers, and other marketing graphic materials as needed.
• Accommodate the design needs of partner departments during creative process, making recommendations, seeking feedback.
• Consistency of materials reflective of overall programming vision or marketing goals for projects. On-time and on-strategy delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong creative and design skills required. Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Basic math and logic skills needed as they apply to animation.
• Apple computer experience mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Maya and/or Cinema 4 D, and other design software (MAC format).
• Understanding of editing process, film production/shooting process.
• Previous experience in on-air graphic design, preferably from cable network, broadcast network or design firm.
