**Job Summary and Responsibilities** CHI St. Alexius is looking for a part time Monitor Tech to join the team! Assists in the delivery of patient care and performance of established tasks and procedures under the supervision of a physically present and immediately available Registered Nurse/ Hospital Provider. Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health. **What You'll Do:** + Must be able to perform the following tasks efficiently: perform/record vital signs, CPR, apply oxygen delivering systems, perform simple wound irrigation/direct pressure/dressings, prepare sterile field for suturing, assist provider with treatment when appropriate, apply restraints, clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization, collect urine specimens, and phlebotomy + Reviews patient information to determine usual heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances; observes screen of cardiac monitor and listens for alarm to identify abnormal variation in heart rhythm, and records, interprets, and documents rhythm strips every 8 hours and as needed + Under direction of appropriate directors; responsible for creating and maintaining schedules for Med Surg, ICU, and OB + Assists in making observations, gathering data, and identifying patient care needs + Assists with patient transports and transfers + Answer telephones, filing, greet patients/visitors, transcribe provider's orders, electronic data entry, and assist with documentation + Assists with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies + Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies + Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures **Job Requirements** High School Diploma or GED BLS **Where You'll Work** Since 1885, CHI St. Alexius Health has been dedicated to leading health care in this region by enriching the lives of patients through the highest quality of care.
