100% Remote (Local Candidates Preferred in the DC, MD, VA Area)

Job Description:

Join our client's team as a Junior Site Reliability Engineer and become part of a skilled group of SREs managing a cutting-edge, enterprise cloud environment. This role offers hands-on exposure to numerous AWS services, as well as the opportunity to engage in DevOps and architecture practices across over 200 cloud-native custom applications. You'll also receive valuable training and mentorship to build your expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Deployment Management: Schedule, execute, monitor, and troubleshoot application deployments.

2nd Level Support: Address and resolve application outages and DevOps automation inquiries.

1st Level Support: Provide support for IAM entitlement questions.

Development & Testing: Contribute to the development and testing of DevOps automation tools within an Agile team setting.

Basic Qualifications:

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

1-2 years of experience in a related role.

A solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Proficiency in Python

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

Knowledge of Jira

Preferred Skills:

Experience in Release Management

Hands-on experience with Jenkins

Proficiency in Splunk

Background in Full Stack Development

Linux System Administration skills

VPC Network Administration experience
