Quality-focused, business-minded and team-oriented healthcare professional equipped with the skills and experience needed to lead the overall clinical and leadership responsibilities of a Wound Care Clinic.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesTreating acute wounds, including bed sores and other types of infections.Performing wound assessments to evaluate the condition of wounds and determine appropriate treatment plans.Prescribing appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.Develop treatment plans bases on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.Takes part in facility orientation and training.Conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.Evaluates wound care and hyperbaric care issues.Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill and acute patients.Reviews research protocols for IRB-standards compliance.Review hyperbaric and wound care patient records.Change dressings and perform debridement as deemed necessary.Coaches center level providers on appropriate evidence-based care to promote quality outcomes including the use of HBO therapy when appropriate for quality outcomes.Creates an inspiring workplace by proactively communicating with the leadership and appropriately contributes to objectives to achieve success through increased quality of care.Demonstrates on Own It leadership style, taking personal accountability to achieve key results with integrity as well as holding providers within the practice accountable to outcomes and role responsibilities.Supports our culture and leads through a performance driven nature, beginning with setting clear expectations, coaching,, and teaching their teammates and measuring for results.Other duties as assigned.Education, Experience and QualificationsRequired: Knowledge of care of common chronic health conditions as well as health promotion and prevention guidelines.Detail oriented, dependable, reliablePreferred: Wound care experienceLicense and/or CertificationsRequired: MD or DOMust be Board Eligible/Board Certified preferred.
