Job Title: Systems Analyst

Under the direction of the Manager, Enterprise Application Support, responsible for analyzing, designing, integrating, developing, implementing, and supporting administrative and academic information systems. Acts as project leader on technology projects, coordinating efforts of technology teams to meet the District's IT goals. Work involves judgment, analytical skills, and decision-making, completed independently or as part of a team, with limited supervision.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

1. *Responsible for all phases of systems analysis, design, integration, development, implementation, and support of information system projects.
2. *Maintain current industry knowledge through training and independent reading, ensuring strong skills in relevant software tools.
3. *Maintain knowledge of technical components like operating systems, databases, web development tools, networking hardware/software, and computer systems.
4. *Research and evaluate new software for institutional needs; recommend implementations.
5. *Experience with Datatel Colleague suite, including Financial Aid, Admissions, Registration, and other modules.
6. *Consult with users regarding information needs, system issues, and training requirements.
7. *Provide ongoing support for assigned systems, resolving issues, ensuring data integrity, and integrating business rules.
8. *Develop documentation and train users on system operations.
9. *Participate in user advisory committees and departmental meetings to stay informed on technology needs.
10. *Coordinate with other staff and keep supervisors informed of project status.
11. *Act as primary contact with vendors for products and services.
12. *Participate in training, workshops, and educational activities as required.
13. *Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requires an Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field, with 2 years of experience in Web programming/development and/or working with Datatel products in higher education. Experience in business systems analysis, design, and project leadership in an educational environment is desirable. Equivalent experience and training may be considered.

1. Experience with Colleague system administration and Web API, including ELF imports.
2. Proficiency in SQL environments.
3. Programming experience in C# or .NET.
4. Experience with Ellucian Colleague products like UI, WebAdvisor, E-Commerce, Portal, Self Service, Student Planning, and Mobile.
5. Knowledge of Colleague Studio, UniData, and Microsoft SQL Server.
6. Skills in client-side development using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, and CSS.
7. Understanding of project management and documentation skills for system design and implementation.
8. Strong query and report development skills.
9. Understanding system integration and data transfer between systems.
10. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
11. Effective communication and relationship-building skills within the community.
