Job Description

Seeking an Electrician with industrial experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Durham, NC.

This is a government position which offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!  

Pay is starting at $31.27/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Work from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to determine the necessary and proper repairs and/or replacements.
• Conduct test of installed equipment for assembly of components and ensure compliance with technical orders, manufacturers' handbooks and local procedures.
• Analyze diagnostic test readings and operating conditions and isolate system malfunctions.
• Use a wide variety of test equipment including test lamps, multimeters, circuit analyzers, circuit breaker testers, voltage recording meters, meggers, watt meters, ohmmeters, and ammeters.
• Maintain bench stock levels of parts, materials, tools, and equipment at prescribed levels.
• Work on secondary distribution lines and circuits used to supply distribution panels, switchgears, power and control circuits, electrical intrusion alarm and fire alarm systems; emergency warning systems; cathodic protection systems; high intensity lighting systems; and related equipment.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of industrial electrical experience.
• Ability to do the work of the position with minimum supervision.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment.
• Ability to use electrical drawings.
• Ability to use and maintain hand tools (electrical work).
