Hyperscale Validation Engineer - ISG (747247)

We are looking for a validation engineer with a background in Windows based servers or server validation to join the ISG validation team. Candidates will be responsible functional verification of different subsystems such as storage, networking, Memory, GPU, systems management, UEFI, etc. This role will work closely with both the development and validation teams in efforts to ensure customer satisfaction of flagship servers and FW functions.

Job responsibilities:

• Execution of test plans on Lenovo servers
• Setup, deployment, and reconfiguration of Servers / Server HW
• Research and understanding of new functions
• Review test plans and test cases
• Identification and documentation defects
• Identification of automation opportunities and either developing or requesting automation tools

Skills / Qualifications:

• Server Operating systems (Windows Primarily, some RedHat, SuSE, VMWare, Ubuntu, etc.)
• UEFI or Systems Management functions / protocols
• Understanding of Product validation, unit testing, or error injection
• Knowledge of Computer / Server subsystems
• Understanding of Intel, AMD, or ARM architecture
• Ability to understand technical documents such as system or protocol specifications
• Validation methodologies
• Programming / scripting – primarily python is a plus
• Understanding of automated tests / automation frameworks
• Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written
• Problem solving

This position offers PTO, Paid Holidays, and more. Available pay is 28.57 to 35.71 per hour, DOQ.

Pay Details: 28.57 to 35.71 per hour
