The Renal Biopsy Laboratory is one of the top two renal biopsy consultation providers in the U.S. and is an essential component of Mayo Clinic’s kidney transplant program and nephrology practices. The laboratory analyzes over 6,500 biopsies/cases per year and performs a variety of techniques, specialty stains, and ancillary services that yields to providing the highest quality, accuracy, and timeliness in the delivery of patient results. The laboratory works collaboratively across various areas within and outside Anatomic Pathology, including Mayo Clinic Laboratories/clients, and the Microscopy and Cell Analysis Core Laboratory.
While making a large impact, the Renal Biopsy Laboratory is a smaller department with a strong sense of teamwork. If you have an inquisitive nature, please consider joining the team in a Histology Technician or Histotechnologist role!
