JOB SUMMARY

Assist department with coordinating all activities related to the import and export of products via Air and Ocean. Efficiently and effectively plans, organizes, and controls the process from initial customer inquiry to final delivery. These duties include customer quotes, researching rates with trucking companies/carriers/ airlines, billing, costing, invoicing, scheduling/tracking of shipments, coordination with Customers/Co-Loader /Warehouse, customs paperwork completion and profit share completion. This position requires consistent interaction with customers and providing exceptional service to meet their freight and logistics needs. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines and in a fast-paced setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

These duties must be accomplished in accordance with the Company’s Mission Statement and Quality Statement while adhering to our Core Values. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Responsibilities Include:

• Manage end-to end for small courier shipments with Fedex and UPS

• Manage end-to-end for Air & Sea shipments

• Coordinate carrier bookings, pick up, and delivery arrangements on a timely basis

• Maintain accurate system entries and updates

• Communicate proactively with agents, customers, and carriers

• Assist operations with freight tasks, as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Proficiency in navigating computer programs and applications.

• 2-3 years of work experience in MS Excel.

• 1-2 years of experience in writing/developing reports.

• 1-2 years of experience coordinating domestic trucking, airline trucking, or port drayage.

• 1-2 years of experience handling import/export paperwork.

• Basic understanding of US Customs clearance procedures.

• Proficiency in prioritizing multiple projects and maintaining strict deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Ability to see a job or project through to final completion.

• Experience working on a high-functional team.

• Willingness to spend moderate amounts of time on site in warehouse.

• Preferred – 2-3 years working heavily in ERP systems.

EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving vehicles, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
