Details:

• Pay for this position is 35.00 to 39.00 hourly depending on experience.
• This is a one-year contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent.
• Location: Frisco, TX
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule of 4 days in office/1 remote; may be 5 days in the office when projects are busy.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Food Science or Chemical Engineering
• 2 to 5 years of experience
• Must have experience within FOOD product development (Ingredient testing and research).

Position Accountabilities

• As a part of the ingredient research team, gathers information on new and Client ingredients, studies ingredient interactions and functionalities
• Conducts bench-top experiments, formula calculations, and develops prototypes for product tastings and sensory testing across a variety of brands and products
• Interprets test results, writes technical reports, and effectively communicates information within the organization
• Fully understands R&D functions and project management process to lead projects
• Partners with various functions of R&D (Sensory, Nutrition, Regulatory, Flavor Technology, Chemistry, Process Engineering, and Technical Services)
• Manages multiples projects and delivers updates on projects within the business to key stakeholders and cross-functional peers
• Maintains accurate and detailed record of laboratory work
• Work appropriately and safely in a laboratory environment
