Job Title: Floral Designer

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Job Type: Full-time

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team at Piney Rose Flowers & Decor. As a Floral Designer, you will be responsible for designing, arranging, and maintaining a variety of floral arrangements for different occasions such as weddings, funerals, corporate events, and everyday orders. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, create custom arrangements, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create original and custom floral arrangements, bouquets, centerpieces, and other floral designs.
• Use different floral techniques, textures, and styles to suit various occasions and themes.
• Design fresh, silk, or dried floral arrangements as per customer requests or for in-store display.
• Assist customers in selecting flowers and other floral products based on their preferences, needs, and budget.
• Provide recommendations and guide customers in making decisions for special events such as weddings, funerals, and parties.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent communication and timely service.
• Manage and maintain floral inventory, ensuring that fresh flowers are handled and stored properly.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and ensure that all flowers are in optimal condition.
• Monitor floral supplies, order materials, and manage deliveries to ensure timely replenishment.
• Collaborate with event planners, coordinators, and other professionals to design and set up floral arrangements for weddings, banquets, and other events.
• Travel to event sites to install and arrange floral displays as needed.
• Assist in the upkeep of the store’s appearance, including floral displays, merchandise, and promotional items.
• Participate in seasonal or holiday-themed decorating of the shop to attract customers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Floral Designer or similar role, with a portfolio of previous work.
• Proficient knowledge of floral design principles, techniques, and trends.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for working with flowers.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of plant and flower care, including how to condition, preserve, and work with fresh, dried, or artificial flowers.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy buckets of flowers, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Formal training in floral design or horticulture.
• Experience with weddings, funerals, or large-scale event floral design.
• Basic knowledge of Shopify for order processing and inventory management.

Working Hours:

• Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Occasionally in-town travel may be required for event setup and delivery.
