These positions supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening the Schenectady community. CURRENT VACANCIES

• Personal Trainers - Part Time, Flexible schedule
• Program Instructor - Part Time; Flexible Schedule
• Program Assistant - Part Time, Flexible schedule

• Current CPR and national certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, and NASM) in Personal Training instruction required.
• At least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in wellness field preferred.
• At least one year of experience personal training preferred.
• YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire.

• HS Diploma/ GED.
• College level study in a physical education, health education or recreational program preferred.
• Previous experience in coordinating a similar recreational program.
• Appropriate professional certifications.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
