Estimator Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints. This role will involve collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather the necessary information to prepare comprehensive estimates for various construction projects, focusing on both interior and exterior finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and scope.
• Evaluate and select subcontractors and suppliers, gathering quotes and assessing qualifications.
• Prepare detailed estimates for various divisions including Division 8, Division 9, Division 10, and Division 11.
• Review and analyze project documentation to identify risks and opportunities for cost savings.
• Provide regular updates to project teams regarding estimates and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain a database of rates and costs for materials, labor, and subcontractors to inform future estimates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and materials, especially in drywall, ceilings, plaster, and glass finishes.
• Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
