We are hiring for an *Equipment and Repair Technician* for our Suwanee, GA location.
*Summary: *
This position is responsible the inspection, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex high-end machinery as feeders, heads, and FCUs. Additional responsibilities include the repair of customer-owned placement heads feeders and parts from our service catalog. The position requires an analytical and methodical approach to troubleshooting and good electrical and mechanical skills. Position also interacts with internal customers.
*Key Responsibilities and Duties / Essential Functions: *
* Commissioning, assembly, reconfiguration, repair and maintenance of high-end surface mount pick & place test benches equipment.
* Manage the internal Head /Feeder spare part consignment inventory consumption based in the revision of spare parts (avoid the maximum possible the spare part scrap for change of revision).
* Report in the correct system the reparations of all Siplace equipment (for example Uptime).
* Experience with handling electro-mechanical devices and ability to perform electrical & mechanical assembly work
* Ability to read electrical (wiring) diagrams as well as parts lists, dimensioned drawings and assembly drawings
* Ability to troubleshoot in an analytical and methodically way to perform failure analysis
* Basic understanding of quality control measures
* Installation and testing of machine peripherals and customer-specific software applications
* Repair of customer-owned placement heads, feeders, FCU’s and all the part numbers that are specified in the ASMPT catalog.
* Work with custom test equipment like HCS and XFVS
* Interaction with internal and external customers
*Qualifications and Skills: *
* SMT process knowledge – understanding of customer workflows and the ability to ask the best questions to assist in the most efficient manner
* Intermediate to advanced level of experience with the installation, functional use, and troubleshooting of ASMPT products
* Ability to quickly learn new hardware / software products
* Excellent MS Office Skills including Word, Excel
* Ability to multitask and be detailed oriented
* Ability to translate technical data into meaningful information for both internal and external distribution
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Target-oriented work ethic with high focus on tight timelines/deadlines
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
*Education and Experience: *
* Technical Certification or associate's degree in electrical engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
* 5 plus years’ experience troubleshooting electromechanical devices, mechanical assembly and electrical repair.
