Job Description

Position: Sub Arc Welder Location: Tulsa, OK Pay: $22 to $25/hour (Depending on experience) Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Sub Arc Welding, preferably on carbon steel. Education: High school diploma or GED required. Technical welding certification preferred; AWS or ASME welding certifications are a plus. Type: Full-time; Contract Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:30pm to 2:00am ProRecruiters is seeking a Sub Arc Welder to join a growing and dynamic team! Job Description: Perform submerged arc welding on carbon steel components and assemblies in accordance with WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications). Set up and adjust SAW equipment, including flux and wire feed systems, amperage, and voltage settings. Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols. Inspect welds visually and with gauges to ensure quality and compliance with standards. Maintain proper alignment and positioning of weldments using jigs, fixtures, or clamps. Operate overhead cranes, hoists, or forklifts to move heavy materials (if certified). Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of welding equipment. Adhere strictly to safety procedures, including the use of PPE and compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations. Complete required documentation, including weld logs and quality reports. Position Requirements: Proficient in SAW process and carbon steel welding techniques. Familiarity with different joint types and welding positions. Understanding of preheat and post-weld heat treatment (if applicable to the job). Experience in pressure vessel, pipeline, heavy fabrication, or structural steel work is preferred. Familiarity with automated SAW systems is preferred. Strong ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols. Comfortable in indoor/outdoor fabrication or shop environment. Ability to stand, bend, and lift (50 lbs) for extended periods.
