Overview
Floating Shifts - Days & Afternoon/Evenings

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in dog handling, ensuring that each pet receives the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away. Must be 25 or Older.

Responsibilities

Floating Shifts

• Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment, including cleaning kennels and play areas.
• Provide basic care such as feeding, administering medications, and ensuring fresh water is available.
• Monitor the behavior of dogs to identify any signs of distress or aggression, implementing appropriate interventions as needed.
• Assist with heavy lifting of equipment or supplies as required.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that may arise during their stay.
• Participate in training sessions to improve skills in animal handling, restraint techniques, and customer service.
• Be able to float to any shift needed
• Must be able to also work weekends and holidays
• Ability to be on your feet for 4-8 hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (up to 50 pounds).
• Knowledge of kennel operations and animal restraint techniques is a plus.
• Experience as a veterinary technician or in pet grooming is beneficial but not required.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays.

We are a 7 day a week facility offering overnight care and we are busiest over holidays - applicants must be willing to work holidays. MUST BE WILLING TO WORK DAYS & AFTERNOONS/EVENINGS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS
