Job Description

Job Description

Your new company

An internationally renowned real estate developer, owner, and investor with a growing portfolio of high-rise residential properties across major global cities. The company is expanding its U.S. operations and is seeking a senior leader to oversee its flagship assets in San Diego.

Your new role

As the Director of Property Management, you will be responsible for the full operational oversight of high-rise residential buildings in the urban hub of San Diego, totaling approximately 2,000+ apartment units. You will lead a team of 50+ staff, including Senior Property Managers, leasing agents, and maintenance personnel.

Your role will focus on maximizing occupancy, optimizing rental income, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of building operations and resident satisfaction. You will work closely with asset management and ownership to align operational performance with investment goals, while staying hands-on in day-to-day operations and strategy execution. A key part of your role will involve working directly with city officials, staying current on local housing laws and regulations, and ensuring all properties operate in full compliance with municipal codes and standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in multifamily property management, with a strong background in high-rise residential operations.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large teams and complex portfolios.
  • Deep knowledge of the central San Diego multifamily market, including local housing laws and city regulations.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, rent optimization, and asset performance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive leadership style with a passion for operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with property management systems such as Yardi or RealPage.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; CPM or similar certifications preferred.

What you'll get in return

  • Opportunity to lead a high-profile portfolio for a prestigious international real estate firm.
  • Competitive executive compensation package.
  • Autonomy to shape operational strategy and team culture.
  • Long-term career growth within a global organization.
  • A dynamic, collaborative work environment in one of California’s most vibrant urban markets.
