Job Description

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for leading any of the workshops offered at Onsite, as well as occasionally an individual, couple or family intensives; works directly with the clinical team at Onsite to serve the needs of the participants and the marketplace.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Facilitate therapy groups, individual sessions, couples or family sessions and intensives and program activities with clients. Main function is to facilitate at least two (workshops or intensives) per month. This includes the possibility of online group and intensive facilitation. Lecture and supervise for workshops as needed. Support Milestones with weekend clinical support and groups as needed up to two times per month.
  • Work with admissions to support clinical approval of clients for workshops and intensives. Assist with assigning participants to groups and intensives when needed.
  • Must be able to work over the weekend when supporting the group and intensive programs due to the start and end dates of programs/workshops.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for all clinical work in Onsite's Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Contribute to content development for the clinical and business development departments (e.g. digital workshops and programming)
  • Stay abreast of clinical field advances, therapy or techniques; practice in a trauma-informed manner
  • May be asked to assist in case management, customer service, and referent relationship maintenance
  • Provide lectures/presentations for clinical programs as needed

  • Actively participate both in obtaining and maintaining Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation by timely assistance with all requests, training and adhering to Policies and Procedures
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance policy (e.g., HIPAA, CARF, etc.). Knowledge of and adherence to Company policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal / state / local laws and regulations. Maintain complete confidentiality in all client/program matters, in accordance with Onsite policy

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education and/or Experience:

Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field; Licensure in the State of Tennessee or ability to obtain TN licensure within one year of hire; Two years of intensives experience; Experience leading intensives; Expertise treating trauma; Knowledge and experience of Experiential and Psychodrama therapeutic modalities

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.

Language Skills: Ability to understand, read, write and speak English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, safety data sheets (SDS) or governmental regulations. Ability to successfully write reports, business correspondence and policy. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors and the general public.

Reasoning Ability: HIGH. Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and initiate appropriate course of action. Must effectively convey ideas, images and goals to a diverse group of personalities.

Other Qualifications: General knowledge of computer applications for the frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to perform duties under pressure, prioritize workload, and meet timely deadlines. Must have the aptitude and ability to self-direct work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, customer service-oriented environment, perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner. The employee must work as part of a team, complete assignments independently and take instructions from supervisors.

Employees must be free from dependency on illegal drugs or alcohol. Employees must demonstrate sustained mental and emotional stability in order to maintain safe boundaries with and for clients.

Works in well-lit, ventilated and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts. May frequently work in outside weather conditions being exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, flammables, pesticides, etc.

Noise level is typical for an office and therapeutic/trauma treatment environment.

Limited overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
