Paralegal
Small Law firm practicing Civil Rights Law (false arrest/police brutality) in the Financial District in Manhattan is looking for a full time paralegal.
The position is in office 4 days per week and work virtually in New York on Fridays.
You should be a highly organized person who enjoys multitasking in a fast-paced environment. You must have an exceptional personality with a sunny disposition because you will spend most of your time on the phone and in person with clients and prospective clients. Experience in Criminal Law and/or Personal Injury, notary, Excel, Google Docs, legal software, tech savvy, customer service, paralegal certificates or degrees is a plus. Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
Responsibility highlights:
· Heavy phone time with clients and prospective clients
· Intaking and retaining new clients
· Data entry into legal software
· Drafting correspondence, document collection & scanning files
40 hour work week 9am to 6pm. Salary 50k+.
