Pride Health is hiring Medical Assistants to support our client’s medical facility based in Maple Grove, MN.

This is a Permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to begin your career with a leading healthcare organization!

Location: Maple Grove, MN

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (80 hours per pay period)

Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00/hour (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials. The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient flow and assist providers in the treatment of patients across various age groups including infants, children, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Perform standard rooming processes, administer immunizations, injections, medications, and other clinical tasks as directed by the healthcare provider.
  • Collect laboratory specimens, perform diagnostic testing, and assist with other clinical duties.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and providers.
  • Assist with prescription refills and other clerical tasks.
  • If applicable, assist with x-ray duties (if certified or willing to take the x-ray operator exam).
  • Perform phlebotomy and clinic laboratory tests as required.

 

Required Licensure or Certification:

    • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

State License Requirements:

    • Valid license in Minnesota.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) required.
    • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
    • Completion of on-the-job training or participation in a registration program by a nationally recognized health services organization (such as American Medical Technologists) required, along with passing the credentialing exam.
    • Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a clinical setting is required.
    • Must have passed the x-ray operator’s examination or be willing to take the exam as per clinic requirements.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in using healthcare-related software applications.
    • Ability to travel using a personal vehicle to various local worksites (only applicable for Occupational Medicine).
