Our client is seeking a driven professional to join the core client development team as a Business Development Specialist. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the market-leading Corporate Practice in its business development initiatives. Your responsibilities will include assisting with pitches and RFPs, conducting in-depth market research, managing legal directory submissions, overseeing marketing communications and collateral, coordinating sponsorships, and organizing both in-person and virtual events. Additionally, you will contribute to various other business development activities to enhance the practice's growth and visibility.

A successful Business Development Specialist will be enthusiastic about gaining a comprehensive understanding of the services offered by the Corporate Practice and the prominent clients and industries they serve. You will also support the strategic initiatives of the broader Client Development Department and work collaboratively with seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Business Development Efforts: Assist with pitches and RFPs to secure new business opportunities.

Market Research: Conduct research to gather relevant market insights and competitive intelligence.

Legal Directory Submissions: Draft and manage legal directory submissions to bolster the firm's reputation.

Experience Management: Maintain and update experience records for the Corporate Practice.

Marketing Communications and Collateral: Manage and update marketing materials to effectively promote the firm's services.

Sponsorship Coordination: Coordinate sponsorship arrangements to enhance the firm's presence at key events.

Event Organization: Play an active role in organizing both in-person and virtual events.

Collaborative Support: Contribute to various other business development activities as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is required.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional services environment, preferably within a law firm, in a marketing or client development role.
