Audiology Assistant

Our hearing healthcare practice is seeking a highly motivated, compassionate with a strong work ethic individual to join our team and provide quality hearing care to our patients.  The Audiology Assistant will assist in hearing aid repairs and troubleshooting and performing hearing screenings (after a thorough onboarding process, training and licensing – you will need to be licensed, and our office will financially pay for your licensing and training).  This individual will help build and retain our patient base and increase hearing aid sales and revenue. 

Our well-established practice is located in San Antonio (Alamo Heights) and Hondo.  Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing superior patient care in a friendly, upbeat office with one audiologist.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet with patients and conduct hearing screenings

• Make earmold impressions and molds for earplugs and hearing aids

• Maintain hearing screening testing equipment

• Perform clean and check on hearing aids

• Provide care and use instructions to patients in a professional and value-based manner

• Conduct post hearing aid-fitting orientations and warranty checks

• Maintain patient files and perform clerical duties and other administrative support functions

• Complete chart notes for clean and checks within 48 hours

• Assist with billing (if needed)

• Coordinating with audiologist/provider with scheduling patients in a timely manner

Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent

• Proficient in Excel and Word

Qualifications:

• 2 years customer service experience

• A reliable vehicle to travel to Hondo 2-3x per week

• Bilingual preferred – Spanish and English
