This position will work closely with coaches, trainers, and athletes to design, implement, and monitor individual and team programs to ensure optimal performance. The Assistant Director of Athletic Performance will also keep up on current research in the field of sports science to ensure the department is best utilizing current technology and data to monitor athlete readiness, training loads, and performance, as well as ensure that the strength and conditioning department is providing the most scientifically accurate training. Essential Functions Develop team strength and conditioning programs. Schedule and facilitate regular strength and conditioning sessions. Create and maintain a safe and effective training environment. Develop and implement injury prevention and return to play programs. Create and present reports to athletes and coaches on performance data and provide advice and recommendations. Assist in the monitoring inventory, ordering, receiving, and dispensing fueling station items. Participate in continuing education through attendance at conferences, symposium and readings to maintain knowledge of current techniques, trends and advancements in physical development. Salary Range $60,000-75,000 annually. Required Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field. 4-6 years of relevant experience. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and/or Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC). Experience with polar and catapult GPS wearable technology. Experience with force plates. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively motivate and lead athletes. Strong organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with VBT.
