Accounts Receivable and Collections Manager This range is provided by Synthego Corporation. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range $98,000.00/yr - $132,000.00/yr We are looking to welcome a new team member to Synthego! The team is searching for a dynamic Accounts Receivable and Collections Manager. As a key member of the accounting team, this person will oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, focusing on timely collection of outstanding invoices and managing the AR team. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate records, optimizing cash flow, and implementing strategies to minimize debts. The role also involves developing policies, procedures, and training for the AR team. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen to communicate and partner cross-functionally to drive outcomes. You will aim to optimize AR and Collections processes by evaluating and automating procedures and managing initiatives for improvement. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment with new customers, products, and operational processes. Preferred States: Wisconsin and California What You'll Do: Invoice commercial and academic customers Lead daily operations of the AR team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. Develop and execute effective collection strategies to maximize cash flow and reduce delinquencies. Participate in collections and improve processes like credit card collection. Track team performance using KPIs and report results to Finance leadership. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and legal regulations related to AR. Prepare and analyze reports on AR, aging, and collections performance. Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments to resolve customer issues and improve cash flow. Manage customer inquiries and disputes regarding billing and collections. Act as liaison between Inside Sales Operations and Finance to resolve system discrepancies and enhance efficiencies. Maintain operational knowledge of products and billing requirements. Assist with external audits and due diligence. Work closely with Finance on reconciliation efforts, tracking invoices, reviewing data for errors, and providing feedback. Manage Sales Tax reporting functions. About You: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field 5+ years of experience in AR, collections, or related roles, with supervisory experience Experience with NetSuite is highly desired Experience with B2B portals like Ariba and Tulia is highly desired Skilled in process evaluation and data-driven improvements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working under pressure and at all organizational levels Team-oriented with effective collaboration skills Proficient in accounting software, spreadsheets, and tools (NetSuite, Google Sheets, Excel) Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts Company Perks & Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401k Program Paid parental leave Flexible paid time off Our Mission: Synthego is a pioneering biotech company advancing CRISPR cell and gene therapies through innovative technology.
