Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Owning the collection, computation, and documentation of payroll data.
  • Processing bi-weekly payroll for U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Managing payroll payments, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate account balances.
  • Overseeing accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation of AP accounts.
  • Ensuring payroll and AP records and processes comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Coordinating with HR and accounting to verify employee data, accounts, and vendor information.
  • Handling all state and federal tax accounts for the company, including the set-up of new state tax registrations.
  • Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with all payroll and AP activities.
  • Preparing reports and financial data for payroll and accounts payable.
  • Ensuring proper setup and managing of multi-state tax accounts.
  • Distributing end-of-year tax documents and issuing final paychecks in accordance with state and federal laws.
  • Auditing payroll journals and AP records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Managing and resolving any issues related to payroll and accounts payable

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance is a plus, but not required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing for 100+ employees on a national level.
  • Experience with UKG required; experience with ADP a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable management.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, payroll taxes, and employee benefits.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including invoice management and vendor payments.
  • Experience setting up state tax accounts for a multi-state employer.
  • Strong knowledge of national payroll laws, relevant legal regulations, and AP best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote work environment.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and other relevant software.

Additional Information

The salary range for this role is $85,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year.

COMPENSATION:

The listed compensation range listed is paid bi-weekly per our standard payroll practices. Final base pay decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
