We are seeking an Accountant to join our team at our Corporate Office. The Accountant performs professional accounting duties including the examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation, and verification of financial records; and performs related work as required.. This is a fully on-site position-remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available. Evolving as an Accountant by having--- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration or related field is required. Two (2) years of accounting experience is preferred. CPA or CMA certification is preferred. Banking and / or mortgage industry experience is a plus. Exciting Opportunities to Grow by--- Reconcile bank accounts daily and report any variances to the manager. Reconcile all credit line asset and liability accounts monthly and report any variances to the manager. Perform multiple General Ledger account reconciliations including payroll accounts, prepaids, accruals, impounds, trust, fixed assets, etc. Review and post daily transactions to General Ledger and sub-ledgers when applicable. Review Accounts Payable entries and GL postings for accuracy. Assist with the month-end financial closing process. Assist with year-end financial closing process. Assist CFO and Controller with internal and external audits and examinations on an as-needed basis. Perform various financial and accounting analyses with specific focus on balance sheet accounts and profit and loss variances. Resolve and communicate complex accounting issues. Other miscellaneous duties assigned by the CFO and Controller or direct report manager (i.e., subsidiary accounting, intercompany, property taxes, sales and use tax, etc.) Perform other accounting functions and analysis on an as needed basis. Participate in special projects and create ad hoc reports as needed. Show us your growth with--- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications. Robust analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience with accounting software. Work well under pressure and with strict deadlines. Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate efficiently and effectively across the organization. Communicate accounting procedures and policies clearly to others. Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation. Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
